An important message from Rev. Eric Burger, Shelter KC's Executive Director

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV)

This spring is all about new beginnings at Shelter KC. As the new Executive Director, it’s certainly a new beginning for me. And I couldn’t be more excited about what God has in store for the mission, and the opportunity to partner with you in this life-changing work.

I truly believe God has called me to this place at this point in time. And I know in my heart that with our amazing staff — and with help from friends like you who are equally committed to rescuing homeless and hurting people in Jesus’s name — lives will start anew.

Indeed, Easter at Shelter KC will be a time of fresh starts for men and women seeking restoration and real hope. As they discover new life in Christ, hearts will begin to heal and lives will be transformed from the inside out.

I look forward to partnering with you in the days ahead, as we work to build a bridge between suffering neighbors and those of us who see them for who they are … beloved children of God.

Thank you for joining with me to do His work, at Easter and throughout the year!

Eric
